Statement From Faith

Hot off the press:

“The idea that I would act disrespectful towards a fellow musician is unimaginable to me. For this to become a focus of attention given the talent gathered is utterly ridiculous. Carrie is a talented and deserving Female Vocalist of The Year.”

Not much of an explanation there, is there?

No - not much at all. The fact that Faith made ANY kind of reaction other than the polite 'sorry I didn't win clap' I find disrespectful. It has taken away from what was suppose to be the highlight of the moment - the other entertainer winning. If you can't win - get the attention? Is that what she's saying? "I'm not being disrespectful - I just want the attention?" hmmmmmmm

I liked Faith Hill before yesterday - I don't like her today - but maybe tomorrow.

I can't honestly say that I would have picked Carrie to win but only because of longevity in the business. And then I backpedal because what is the criteria for the award? - I actually don't know for certain.

My two (or 4) cents worth.

Don't think Carrie should have won, don't think Faith should have won. Heck, none of the ones nominated should have.

Trisha has an amazing album, which was also overlooked. And I don't say this just because I'm a fan.
