Lunch with Garth

I love it when a man feeds me!

Today was the #1 party for "More than A Memory." Will be back later with stories, photos, and possibly... video! And the answer to one of my earlier blog questions. But let me just let you chew on this little tidbit... which never occurred to me until someone verbalized it during the presentations.

"More Than A Memory" went to NUMBER ONE in ONE week.

You can't go higher, you can't get there faster.

That is a record that literally, can't...EVER... be broken.

And you can't have a party quicker?? Wow. Then again, guess they were ready. :)

Guess this answers my question to you earlier today. :-)

Very cool...can't wait to see what you have in store to share with us. :-)

They certainly organized this event pretty quickly and caught the honored parties with their calendars open.

I tried to find you in the crowd in one of the pictures posted at cmt.com but couldn't see you.

Amazing what can be done when you throw a ton of money around.

You're definitely there--maybe it's too obvious? :P

Pam, I have noticed you have been very cynical of Garth in every comment posting you make. Must be tough going through life as miserable as you.

Okay, so my eyesight is horrible. Is that you sitting at the table in the blue top?

Actually, I'm a very happy person :D In fact I have been accused of wearing rose colored glasses on ocassion LOL "I just calls 'em likes I sees 'em"

It's just my opinion. Didn't say anyone else had to like it.

And I respect the fact that there are GB fans out there whose opinions differ from mine.

Wouldn't life be boring if we all agreed on everything all the time?

I have to say that when it comes to Garth Brooks lately, it seems to be all about numbers. Unit sales. Wal-Mart. Box sets. Greatest hits with a few ho-hum singles tacked on. "More Than A Memory" is not so spectacular that it deserves to shoot to #1 right out of the gate.

Boring.

Either retire for REAL or get your ass back out on stage.

I agree with Teach!!! I want to be just like you when I grow up!!! :P

And to all the nay sayers...
BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!!

I'm a fan of Garth's as well, but I have to admit this "#1" just doesn't feel right. Why wasn't this song allowed to take a normal course and rise to #1 (if it was destined to get there) the "right" way???
