2009 looks to be a much smaller tour schedule with corporate travel gone and no foreign vacations planned. I do need to make a Disney run though, we've got a zillion Disney Dollars saved up. And I have a free SW ticket I need to use by May. Where to go? Stay Tuned!

I'm not sure Tennessee counts if you live there ;-)

Looks like you need to balance things out with a few west coast trips in 2009.

Free SW ticket = Virginia!!!

That reminds me I need to book my Fan Fair trip on Southwest.

I'll bet Delaynie's vote will be for Disney. I don't remember when Delaynie's birthday is, but if you go on your birthday, you get free admission.

Pam, I've beem watching Southwest for a good rate to Nashville.

SERIOUSLY you get in free on your birthday?

And Tennessee does count, because I went to places other than Nashville! We're going west in 2010 -- going to spend Gary's Birthday at the Grand Canyon. Although I have thought about doing Disneyland this time instead... I just haven't found enough that makes it seem as magical as DW for some reason.

P.S. People who tell me how inconvenient it is to fly SW out of VA should not turn around and try to convince me to go there!

Ok, please tell me that Free Admission thing is new.. because we were there on Gary's birthday a couple of years ago...he got breakfast at the castle with the princesses...

sandi said...

Gary had breakfast at the castle? LMAO!!! :)

I'll meet you at Disney!!

Can we go swim with the dolphins? Do you like how I'm just joining your family vacation? :)

Oy. I didn't realize Southwest was already selling tickets for CMA Fest time. I don't understand their ticket sales timing. Seems like last year we had to wait until spring before we could buy our tickets. I only fly Southwest when I'm going to Nashville (it's the only airline with a nonstop flight from Seattle, and I'd rather have a nonstop flight than fly on an airline I prefer), so I'm not in sync with their idiosyncrasies. I guess I should get on that too...

Alright. Flights BOOKED! :-)

Yes, the free admission on your birthday is new...actually, it starts in 2009. My brother was all over that and is going for his birthday, even though he has an annual pass (they compensate for that with a comp of some type). I'm not sure how it works if you get a multiple day pass, however. Definitely Disney World over Disneyland...there's just so much more to do and see at Disney World.

Here's the info and a link to the FAQs - http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/disneyparks/en_US/WhatWillYouCelebrate/index?name=WDWCelebrationsOverviewPage

Well, that link didn't come out right...I sent you an email with the link.

Those of you booking flights ARE staying in town for a Monday breakfast at the Pancake Pantry, yes???

Make sure to plan for a Sirius XM Tour while you're here as well...

We're looking at June 9-16 right now (at least, those are the flights we have booked, and that's when we have the hotel reserved for). Subject to change if something comes up, but that's where we are right now.

Remind me when I book my flight... in May! :P

Right now looking at Tuesday to Sunday as I couldn't get the following Monday off as the week was closed to pick days from. I am waiting to see what is going on around town before booking the flight.

Just wanted to say your blog has been looking really good lately and I just noticed that website you find the layouts on. I will have to start using that one for my blog - very cute layouts. Sorry, just had to say thanks for that. LOL! Enjoy Disney World whenever you do go this year. Oh and I'm trying to talk the hubby into Fan Fair for the umpteenth time. One of these days I will get him to go with me. Ha! Hope you have a wonderful New Year J!
