NYC to Do List

I decided not to waste my precious hours in NYC waiting in line for tickets I might not get. So I've bought a ticket to see Phantom through the discount online site. I'm 7 rows from the front - that might be a little TOO close!

I work with some NY'ers, so I've been asking for suggestions. Amy Paige told me I have to get a canish. She tells me that's a potato puff. A potato puff? In a follow up conversation with Marty Fitzpatrick, he tells me there are 2 kinds of canishes (sp???) - baked and fried - and that I have to go to the Carnegie Deli and get a fried one. He also gave me the name of a pizza place in the Village I need to hit, if I can figure out how to get to it.

What else?

I knew I should have gone with the 2nd best tix... that was 17th row. That chandalier is gonna crash down on my head, isn't it?

I was told to go to John's Pizzaria on Bleecker St. Sounds like somewhere I could take Jon Anthony... he doesn't eat frou-frou food.

Marty told me that he had them box up a pizza for the plane ride back to Nashville last time!

Absolutely John's Pizzaria! I think it's on the corner of Bleeker and 7th Ave. It's not a far walk at all from the Christopher St. stop on the 1/9 or the on 4th Street stop of the ACE or BDFV. You thought Sesame Street was hard! Or you could just take a cab - which is less confusing. John's is definately worth it though - no fru fru, deep in the heart of it all - there are a ton of pizza place around there though - make sure it's the right one. :) There used to be a kick ass ice cream place near there too... but it's been a few years since I've been. ENJOY! I"m jealous!

Knish!!! Oooh J, pleasse have one for me. Our local Jewish deli makes
knish with sour cream that melt in your mouth...and I miss them as I'm trying to take off 30 pounds before my daughters October wedding!!

Note: its pronounced 'kin-ish' but spelt knish.

Lot's of Mustard with that KNish!!

(Bll thanks for the correct spelling).

Wendy would disagree on the pizzeria though!! She says Ray's Pizza is best!!!
Wendy and Harriet are the ones to ask about NYC doings!!
Oh!! Madam Tussaud wax museum's a fun place
