OMG!! I have never been to or even seen a bridge like that, so I have no idea if I would go over there. But it looks scary. And so HUGE!!! I think the Golden Gate bridge looks a little scary too. Do you go over there, J?
Sorry -- that was the bridge Paula tried tricking me into crossing into Newport, RI. We were talking about it in the comments of another post.
And no Jona -- I have never crossed the Golden Gate Bridge. I could have done this one if I was riding. But you can't close your eyes when you're driving.
Gary taught Delaynie a new word tonight as I was telling them of my RI adventures. Gephydrophobia.
I need to find a picture of the Auckland, NZ harbor bridge that I **WALKED** out to the middle of on this little see through metal grate, while traffic rumbled overhead. But it was no time for me to be a chicken -- I was walking out there to watch my brother bungee jump off of it.
---SHUDDER---
Bridges have been a lot easier for me since conquering that one. But I wasn't going to take my chances on driving that monster when I was alone.
Newport ROCKS! There is a way to go there without crossing that bridge though. Next time you come, I'll show you... or drug you and take you over that one. :)
Glad you made it home safe! I hope you're home. :)
Ooo I've been at the very top of the Golden Gate Bridge on one of the towers - they used to do tours. The teeny tiny elevator to get up there was scarier than the actual view from way up top.
The Mackinac Bridge was scarier, the wind gusts you encounter just driving across are brutal.
Your bridge pic reminds me of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge - that one was cool
Lish, thanks for saying there are other ways to get to Newport. I was racking my brain trying to recall that bridge and don't remember ever crossing one like that to get to Newport, but it has been a while since I've been there and bridges don't phase me; so I thought maybe it just didn't stand out...or it was my bad memory.

bidges or Bridges.. whatever
call me retarded, but where was that exactly? (the bridge in the picture)
lmao!!! Chicken :p
I'm with Joyce...... I wouldn't have gone across that either. When we lived near Tampa, Florida I avoided the Sunshine Skyway Bridge at all costs.
