Hello from a very wet and rainy Providence Airport where I am stuck, I am stuck in Rhode Island. Apparently the flight that was taking me to Philadelphia was delayed to the point of not being able to get me home today/tonight, so I don't think I got stuck in Philadelphia I got stuck in Providence or(?) just because I'm very white(?) strong(?), so I'm headed to the hotel under a distressed passenger rates, I'm not really distressed just a little annoyed, hope you're all having a better night. listen

Ok, I don't know what I said, but I guarantee I did NOT say that I am very white!!!!
I am definitely missing my laptop now... I took SO many pictures this weekend, I'd love to be working on them!
Guess I'm lucky that my "Distressed Passenger" hotel was one with a computer.
According to what I heard, you said, "a very wise choice" and it came out "very white, strong". Sorry about your delay. Hope tomorrow is a better day.

J, I was worried about you when I saw all the warnings out there. I chickened out off going to 1 of 2 concerts today because of the rain.
Bummer...although maybe now you can get some good clam chowder at Legal Seafood. Finz was okay and better than most, but it wasn't the best I've had.
Hope you enjoyed your morning in RI and got to see the ocean and maybe saw some sights before heading to the airport and news of the delay.
Just got home from the HTTP and we made it through the show without rain although it was threatening. We weren't in the car 5 minutes before the skies opened up and continued heavily all the way home. It let up a little as we got to my house.
Paula
wowza. we got rain early in the afternoon, although it looks like it hasn't completely gone away yet. :) can't wait to see your pictures...and to hear what you left on my phone! :)
Paula, how was HTTP, I thought of going there or Sara Evans at the Sub Base here but the weather scared me off.
Ummm... yeah... about my site seeing in Rhode Island. You failed to mention that GINORMOUS toll bridge. Ain't no way I was driving over that! I did do a lot of exploring though.. the weather wasn't the best, but I had a nice morning. Would have explored a lot longer had I realized I didn't need to go to the airport.
I saw the Legal Seafood by the airport, and wanted so bad to go! But I turned my rental car back in, so I was dependent on a hotel shuttle and then held captive all night. I finished the book I was reading, and now am watching the lightning show outside.
That was Keith singing "Sunday" on your cell phone, sorry you couldn't tell. ;-(
sorry to hear you're stuck there. hope you get some relaxation in and take advantage of the downtime.
It actually has been kind of nice! I can't remember the last time I got to read an entire book start to finish -- and I got 30 minutes on the treadmill!
Paula,
How was the HTTP???? I can't wait to see Trent in Sept at Sea WOrld. And oh yah those other 3 guys on the tour. LOL
Awww girl! Wish I didn't have stupid work or I would have come down there and driven your butt over the ginormous toll bridge! It's worth it on the other side, I promise. :)
Hope you had a blast anyway and sounds like you had some downtime. :) I'm blowing off cleaning and heading to the beach for a few minutes myself. Lots of cornfield relatives coming this week, but they can deal with my dirty house - they've met me. :)
THUD
Are you all back and safe, Joyce?
Looks like we need a little filter from the spammers here.
Hope you got out okay. To tell you the truth, I didn't know about a ginormous bridge...maybe because it doesn't phase me to go over bridges.
To answer Dave and Pammy, the HTTP was a lot of fun. There was no down time between the performances so that was good. They each played for about half an hour...no "headliner", although Mark was the last to go on. Then they all came out and sang a few (parts of) songs together. The show lasted about 2-1/2 hours.
I was there for Buddy...sorry Pammy; but they were all good, and I do like Ray Scott as well (he went on first). They were all having fun with each other, including a powdered donut that seemed to be tossed around and shared. They also interacted with the audience a lot. The venue lent itself well to that...outdoors with a photo line a la fan fair that not many people were taking advantage of. Trent jumped off the stage and mingled with the audience in front.
I do have one question Pammy...does Trent always chew gum while he's singing? There was no M&G before the show, but they all came out afterwards and signed for people who wanted to wait in line. We opted to leave since it looked like the skies were about ready to open up...and they did.
Wowza. That's my new favorite word.
By the way -- for those that missed the spam attacks of the past 24 hours, I've disabled anonymous comments for the time being.
Although I did find it amusing that someone took the time to anonymously "invite" us to join the "revival" of a site that hadn't had anything posted on it for 2 months. TWO MONTHS! Yikes. If that's the revival I'd hate to have seen what the funeral was like.
If my regulars want the anonymous comments back I will re-enable it in a couple of days.
I may, however, ban the use of the word wowza. LOL
Paula,
I have seen Trent sing with gum in his mouth before. I know he smoked at one time, or maybe still does, so maybe it's Nicorette or something. LOL
good points Joyce!
