On a message board I visit, they've started a "Brushes with Fame" thread. Obviously, country music artists can't count for me, hee hee hee.
I'm trying to remember who I've met outside of the music world - I know there have been a few. Larry King, James Carville, Olympic gymnast Shannon Miller.
There's gotta be more.

I cannot say that I have ever met a famous person. I have seen the show, "Live with Regis and Kelly" and John Stamos was on the show. I also saw President and Mrs Reagan when they were in New Orleans many years ago. The only other famous people I have even seen have been those that ride in the Mardi Gras parades, such as Hulk Hogan and Bob Hope.
I truly hope to meet Garth Brooks some day but that is unlikely.

I knew John Denver; we were friends for 20 plus years. Through him I met Harry Chapin, James Taylor (who was high and very unimpressive the first time and apologetic the second time)and Jimmy Buffet.
I met President and Mrs Carter on a Habitat build. Theyre very down to earth and dedicated to Habitat.
I need to move to the States... The only famous person I have "met" where about 10 second with Jon Bon Jovi. And a lots of Norwegian celebrities, but they don't count.

From the acting world I've worked with Danny Glover and was on a shoot in college with Kathy Bates.

I met 2 guys of the band Golden Earring (dutch band, they had a hit in The States a long time ago with "Radar Love")
