Nashville Star Radio on XM!

No rest for the weary!

Nashville Star Radio on XM debuts this week -- we tape the first episode tonight. This is going to give you a much more in depth look at the contestants and the process -- it's very exciting for us.

Did you watch the first episode Monday? The new home on NBC means a new set, new host, new judges - and hopefully a much bigger audience! So what did you think?

It's going to be fun to follow this show this summer!

I agree, it's gonna be a fun show to watch..

opinions?

Talent- not that great at all, at least from first glance- there's potential to work with, but with few exceptions, I was not impressed at all- uggh..

Judges- 100% better than anything they've had the last few seasons.. With the exception of JEwel, who while awesome as a judge.... does one country album, a somewhat country sound, and dating a cowboy make you an authority on country music? jury's still out on that.. Shes' still better than anastasia ever was.

The rest of the judges- I don't like big and rich at all, but John Rich was also spot on judge wise- they've been far too nice for too long- it's nice to see more criticism and actual advice rather than sugar coated commentary as with the last few seasons..

USA To NBC... Rescued by the network synergy... I'm glad to see NS on NBC.. hopefully the influx of money etc (they must value the show at least a little) will prove to help... it was dying on the USA network (in 2 years, will you remember Angela HAcker? does anyone remember her still anyway?) who have won NS? Buddy Jewell- great singer, dropped from label. Brad cotter- what happened to him? Erika Jo- good looking, young, but nothing there... Chris Young- potential... but nothing much commercially yet.. And Angela Hacker (were there more seasons?)--- need we say more?

They sent the wrong person home !!! Charlie should have stayed and what's her name should have gone home.

I wish George Canyon had been able to make more of a mark here in the states. Thank goodness for the internet, I can still get his CD's.

I like Jason Meadows too.

Was this the show that Delaynie liked last year? You'll have to let her watch--or listen--now! :)

No... it was Grease she liked.

I got home too late on Monday to catch it. I'll catch the reairing on CMT on Saturday.

By the way, I just wrote a check for something and that reminded me that I never paid you when I saw you.

It was so nice seeing you, Delaynie and Jen.

I watched the other night and was not impressed with the talent but that could be that the sound sucked. Wonder if it sounded much better there.

Agree with the lack of talent - I hope some of them improve and get better only one I thought was the last women she has a great voice.

Set was better - better production vaule and much better judges.

they need to work on audio it was muddled at best

hope it gets better

I think Nashville Star had so much more talent last year. This year the big women is good and the hispantic guy is good but the rest don't sound very professional. I think they should have given that Charlie guy a chance he had to be better than those to girls singing together and that coffey guy should have been the first to go. I think they should sing a little more country most don't sound country at all and th songs suck.
