It's beginning to look a lot like...

Christmas!

I have scheduled US Country through next Wednesday, at which point, it turns Christmas. Anyone want to take a guess at what the last song to play on the channel is?

I love Chrsitmas but I really wish stations wouldn't go to playing ALL Christmas. Except maybe on Christmas Eve and Day. Guess I'll listen to the other XM country stations. And what happened to waiting until after Thanksgiving to start the Holiday music??? Went to the mall last week and Santa was there already !!! Sheesh! Yes I am hopelessly old fashioned about it. LOL

A Garth song? ;-)

And are you really turning ALL Christmas? :o

Yes, all Christmas. Music City Holiday the channel is called.

No it's not Garth.

The reporter was blonde... she was with some show that had some guys name in it. Like "The Paul Jones Show" or something. She kept saying that like the artists would go - ooh really? Love that show!

Didn't happen. LOL

How funny! I was 2 people to her left from where she was sitting.

Ummmmm.... it had better have been Steve & Garth! It was supposed to have been!

I'll listen to it in the morning. Thanks for the heads up. (And for listening to US Country!)

hmmmm Lets see - last song? I would guess maybe a George Strait song? Since his new plaque is hanging in your building now.

Good Lord - who ARE those people? All of the album information on the track says it's taken from Steve's Capitol album of the same name. I don't think so!

The wierdest thing is that the guy even says "Awww take it away Garth!" or whatever. Weird.

Not a George Strait song, although that's a good guess.

Hint: it's a chick singer.

WELL. The answer is even wierder than I could have guessed.

You know how (well, ok, YOU probably don't) but here in the US you'll go into a restaurant or a truck stop or somewhere and hear music that isn't by the original artist? Turns out there are record companies that record that stuff for people that don't get serviced by the big record labels.

Somehow, one (or more probably) of those CDs was part of the original music library we purchased before going on the air, and at some point long after the fact, an unnamed XMer went in and changed the information to credit that song to be Steve and Garth. Why, I have no idea.

Turns out we don't even have the right version in the building. I'm banishing from the system.

oh! And your "Where Are You Christmas" idea was good, wish I'd thought of it in time.

Something by Trisha, of course. ;-)
