Amy Paige

One of the things that happened while I was out of commission was that Amy Paige started doing live shows on Highway 16. I know she has a bunch of fans amongst my blog readers, so I wanted to let you know she's live today and Thursday from 11am - 2pm Eastern, filling in for Jon Anthony.

Several of you have asked for her email address... she doesn't have an XM email, and I'm not privvy to her personal email, but I do know they're forwarding her email that comes to highway16 - at - xmradio.com. She loves hearing from her fans, so turn her on!

Joann, Just checked it out and I am adding it to my concert schedule. Just have to wait for the work schecdule come out in the middle of April.

Thanks for also posting that as I just crapped my pants when I saw Kathy Mattea is playing there on 10/24 since its not on her tour page yet on her website or her booking agents website.

Joyce, Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate XM. I've had to drive the van a lot lately and listening to regular radio drives me INSANE !!!!!!!

Drove from my house to the FORD dealer which is about a ten minute drive..... heard ONE SONG !!!!! UGH

Is Amy Paige the one that voiced that show for you that one time? I liked that. :)

She's got a great personality. ;-)

Pam, I do believe you need an XM for the van. Might I remind you - I have deals! Don't suffer through crappy, commercial-laden FM radio!

Amy voiced my GRAMMY show. :-) Highway 16 has been desperately in need of a female personality for a long time. The fact that Amy comes with a built-in fan base is a bonus!

Although I swear when I talk to my east coast friends y'all don't sound nearly as Yankee as she does! LOL She's a great counter-sound to Mr. Redneck KY Boy. ;-)

Well, I had to Google Amy Paige since I had no clue who she was and hadn't yet heard her on XM16. I did find her at her former radio station's website, complete with pictures. Sounds like she will be a great addition to the XM family and I'm looking forward to catching her when she's on. If she's from the DC area, though, I don't consider that Yankee territory.

Amy's from DC? From the evil station? Why don't I know her then? Hmmm....

She's from NYC - she was on Y107, which is how Harriet and JoAnn and Dave and the gang know her. :-)

She sounds like a Damn Yankee on the air. :-) As a northerner myself, that's a compliment. :-)

Woops - my bad... she did do time in D.C. too, just not on a country station.

Thanks for the heads up!!

Joann, I usually try and make it there for the CMA shows. Just a pain getting there without missing too much of the early show. I see thay they have one next Thursday which I may try to make. This will be Kathys 2nd time being there.

I didn't even look to see if 107.3 was a country station. I just made the assumption that it was a country station when she said in her blog - before I “boot scoot and boogie” out the door - and that she left to go to Nashville because her husband was offered a position that was too good to pass up.

Actually, I did some work on WMZQ before securing a position with a hot ac radio station. Thank goodness for David (the hub)!! He kept my country connection fresh. I'm so happy to be playing country music again. The fans just can't be beat.
