More Trisha

Our interview with Trisha will air Tuesday around 1pm Eastern on XM's Highway 16.

Since she's doing bunches of interviews, there's no sense making you wait for the details that are coming out anyway.

The album is .... hopefully... going to be called "Heaven, Heartache, & The Power of Love." That's contingent on the single doing well, so y'all better do your part!

They tracked the album in four days.

She has 2 Karen Rochelle songs (Karen wrote "Georgia Rain"), both of which she has men singing with her - one is Jim Lauderdale, one is Keith Urban. Yeah... that's gonna be AWESOME.

So Garth is NOT singing on the album. But we asked her if he made any contributions. I'm going to make you wait to hear her answer, because it's very... amusing.

Matraca Berg is another songwriter I remember having a couple of songs on the CD, and a Jessie Alexander song called "He Doesn't Know Nothing About Memphis." That's a double negative - maybe I wrote it down wrong. Actually, I'm pretty sure Sandi has been sitting on that scoop since we saw Jessie's fiance at a show here in Nashville a couple weeks ago.

She's not touring beyond September - will hit the road again in February. Sorry gang. You're going to have to get your frequent flyer miles elsewhere.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to go find some Carrie Underwood news so that I can get some COMMENTS on my blog!

Hey thank you so much for the news! Can you tell us what song Trisha would sing for Garth? I think that was one of the questions you said were answered in the interview... that would rock!

thank you, thank you...I am actually glad that Garth isn't on the cd...don't get me wrong I love Garth and miss his music, but I am a bigger Trisha fan and wouldn't want anything she does to get overshadowed by the G man. Can't wait to hear the song with Keith. Many years back I saw Trisha at the Greek theater and Keith was the opening act.

That's better. :-)

The song is called "Cowboys Are My Weakness" and it's one of the songs Karen Rochelle wrote. Jim Lauderdale is singing on it with her. It's very cute to hear her talk about "my cowboy."

aww, "my cowboy", can't wait to hear it!

"so that I can get some COMMENTS on my blog!"

Excuse me? There are a few of us who comment.

"Not my fault PG sux. :P"

Pardon me? :p

"BTW, don't EVER come to Hampton Beach."

I could have told you that. The last (and only) time I was there many years ago, it was pretty cheesy, to put it nicely. Emily and I will see you tomorrow. :)

Hey J... it's KarYn. :p

And she's only doing one song from the new album in concert, the single. I begged for another tonight, and she said she'd try to work it up before PA--I'm not holding my breath. :)

Producer J. said...

Hey - JZ is going to the Boston show. I told him you'd be there. That's tonight, right?

Which Boston show--the one at Hampton Beach, or Cape Cod? Tell him to look me up, I'd love to say hi! :D

Thanks for the all the new info J. Looking forward to hearing "Cowboys Are My Weakness" and the song she sings with Keith. Not overly crazy about the new single but then again I've always been more partial to her ballads.

Trisha's show at South Shore Music Circus was great. JoAnn and I missed Amy Dalley (although we could hear her performance)because we were waiting for our M&G with Trisha. Although Trisha was probably running late by the time we got in to see her, she didn't rush us at all and took time to talk to us, take pictures and sign. She also spilled the beans with what her answer was as to Garth's contribution to the album.:p

We met up with Sandi, Lish and Tammy (from Trisha's board, not sure if she visits and posts here) before the show where they were tailgating, and also met a couple of other posters from Trisha's board who were in line with us waiting to meet Trisha. Lish can fill you in on her "recycled" note we smuggled in and gave Trisha.

As for Trisha's performance, she was so relaxed on stage and kept us entertained with her stories between the songs as well as, of course, with her stellar performance. You could tell that she and the band were having a great time up on stage, even though they were battling some nasty little bugs who kept hovering around. She sang lots of up tempo songs versus ballads, although there were plenty of those as well. Great, great show!

WOW! Thanks for ths scoop... and here's your comment! :) You rock. Sorry been too busy chasing Miss Yearwood around New England and running a few High School Musical performances in between. Egads.

Looking very forward to the interview.

The concerts have been BEYOND amazing... and yes, Thanks again Paula for smuggling in the note. As if she didn't need more validation that I'm a freak. Wait til she gets the one tonight.

Was great to see all the Trisha freaks! I hope everyone gets blessed by seeing her live this year - simply amazing.

Oh - and again - YOU ROCK J!
