On account of the Scouts, I was one child short this weekend. But I had a great Mother's Day anyway. We went to my MIL on our bicycles... that meant just over 2 hours of hard work (very hilly country here!). But once there, all the hard work was compensated by a great BBQ (too much food!). At my MIL's we lost our second child (wanted to stay over) and so we arrived home (by train) together... just hubby and me. I cannot remember us being home together without kids... it was quite nice. We are about to pick up one child and the other one will arrive home later this afternoon. It was a very nice Mother's Day weekend! :D
I had a very nice Mother's Day. Slept in a little. When hubby came home from golfing we went to the river park. Waded in the Guadalupe, watched the "tubers" float by. Kids were wet so we let them ride home (a whole two miles or so) in the back of the pick up.
When the oldest came home from work we had burgers on the grill and I opened my gifts.
Happy Mother's Day and glad you had a great weekend. We went to my son's house, swam in their pool, and had crawfish with potatoes, corn, sausage,garlic, and mushrooms. We also had stuffed artichokes. Spending time with my family and all that great food made for a very great Mother's Day.
