Strait Country rides off into the sunset Saturday at Midnight Eastern, making way for the return of US Country. The last song on SC is, predictably, "The Cowboy Rides Away" (flashbacks to Music City Holiday anyone?) So what is your suggestion for the first song on US Country?
I've made my suggestion to Jay Thomas, but he told me I could open up the floor to suggestions from y'all. So let's hear it -- what would be an appropriate song for US Country to return with?

Have a few ideas - will have to think about it when I get home.

Too bad its not returning on Friday ...... you could play "It's Friday" by Aaron Tippin.
Where the Blacktop Ends by Keith Urban?
Ain't Going Down... is the first one that came to mind. If I think of something else, I'll come back.

"Gone Country" by Alan Jackson?
"Born Country" by Alabama?
Those are just off the top of my head.
'There Ain't Nothing Wrong with The Radio' for all those expecting to hear Strait Country? lol
I second "Ain't Goin Down". Love me some George but thrilled to have US Country back! WOOT!
How about 'Good Ride Cowboy'?? Very apropos after the 'Cowboy Rides Away'!
Couple good choices so far. I like 'There Ain't Nothing Wrong with The Radio' and 'Good Ride Cowboy'
First thing I thought of today was 'It's Midnight Cinderella'
Back in the Saddle Again by Gene Autry?
Ooh -- I like the Good Ride Cowboy suggestion! And the Ain't Nothin' Wrong with the Radio!
My suggestion was Shania Twain "Honey I'm Home."
keep 'em coming! I'll give them to Jay tomorrow around Noon.
COWBOY TOWN / Brooks & Dunn since you're back in the saddle; or ONLY IN AMERICA since we are granted such great freedoms in this country that you could do the King George sole programming.
Oooh.. I like "Good Ride Cowboy". Very appropriate! That gets my vote!
I don't know... Better as a Memory is pretty good for Strait Country. :P
We're giving US Country "Another Try"? :D
US country doesn't play new music. Had you forgotten? :-P
Yes. :P It's been too long. :P
