Was this Delaynie's idea...very nice!
Have a great Thanksgiving J.

So how does that work? Our Thanksgiving Day in Canada always lands on a Monday in October. So do you get today off and back to work tomorrow? Do you all celebrate it on the weekend...can't imagine making a big dinner like that during the week?

We got the idea out of a magazine called "Family Fun." Anyone with young kids should check this out, we love it. There's always cool craft / gift / fun ideas. Probably best geared for the 5-9 set, but Delaynie at almost 11 still finds things to do out of it.

We took a couple of nature walks through the subdivision, which has a creek and some woods, as well as the neighboring farmer's field. ;-) It was a lot of fun.

Many employers - including Gary and I's - give Friday off as well. Plus we both took Wednesday off. We've had an AMAZING little mini vacation already.

The kids are all now here, turkey is in the over, and the sales papers are spread out all over the table. My Black Friday mission: To buy a new Christmas tree!

By the way, I do really have curtains for that window... I just took them down for the weekend. LOL

Hope everyone has a GREAT day - and takes a few moments to count your blessings, even if it's not officially Thanksgiving where you live. :-D

Those are just awesome curtians! Way cool! I love "Family Fun" even though I have no kids! I get an online newsletter every week - love it. And hey, I'm a kid anyway, right?

Everyone have an blessed and thankful day.

We're thankful for you and this blog, J. Rock on.

I'm heading for my pumpkin pancakes. Woot!
