Got it on repeat as well. Fantastic song! FANTASTIC! For me, it is right up there with Shameless (my alltime fav Garth song.

Just beautiful, beautiful lyrics, so full of emotion... contrasts so much with most of the "fluff" that's played today.

It's nice to see Garth doing something different than what we're used to. I love the emotion in the song.

I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. I do know I don't dislike it.
First time I listened to it I thought something sounded different. Second time I heard it Chris Gaines' voice jumped out at me. I love both of them but since I was expecting Garth,....I'm not sure how I feel

Now that y'all have heard it, you've expressed a lot of what I felt the first time I heard it.

First, it totally felt like a Chris Gaines song. The first time I heard it I liked it... but I wasn't crazy about it. The second time, I was like "ok... this is cool." By the end of the night, I couldn't get it out of my head.

The really interesting thing to me, I think, is that despite being about such a dark depressing topic... it's catchy as hell, and you can't help but sing along.

I had heard the song writer's interpretation a week or so ago and I really like it. Garth's interpretation is quite different. I finally heard it on my way back from work today and thought the same thing when I heard the beginning...Chris Gaines, but as I listened more closely what came through was deep Garth. The lyrics are sad and soleful, but the instrumentals and that certain something in garth's voice....well... It is great and I can't wait to listen again. :)

I think Garth should have cello on ALL his ballads! This is soulful, doleful and very, very intense. It wasn't at all what I expected, and I didn't go to the writers page as I didn't want to be coloured by Lee Brice.

It is SO Garth, and yet so different and fresh from him.

Oh my Garth! I'm in Chris Gaines heaven! I think it's time I finally get that Canadian art print framed and hung that a friend gave me of Garth morphing into Chris Gaines, only, in this case it seems it's Chris Gaines morphing into Garth! Yes! Garth rocks!! :)

*see Planet Gaines photo archives for a view of this cool artwork!!!

It is growing on me but I don't think I will ever love it, or as my local "on air" personality said today "think it is the best Garth song ever"...not. Maybe because I am not that into the Chris Gaines thing...I do like the lyrics.
