What Would YOU Ask Garth?

So the G-Man is in front of the media several times coming up, and of course, there will be the obvious questions and information given out about his upcoming project. Some things you know will come up. But casting all those things aside, if you were a member of the media and got all the obvious questions answered, and there was time for a "bonus" question of some sorts.. that didn't have anything to with what he's trying to promote, what would you ask?

I think, if we got things answered about international distribution and the duet album, what I'd want to ask is --

When you retired, you were planning to develop a new career as a scriptwriter. How'd that work out for you?

LOL

Your turn. I've got to finish wolfing down lunch before our interview, then we're gonna talk Bluegrass.

Are your daughters seeing how well Trisha balances her career and home life, and wish you would do the same? ;-)

would it be a situation where he'd honestly give an answer? there are several questions to ask him, that might put him on the spot...

Great question Sandi!!!

I have one...
Is there any friendly competition between Trisha & himself with the new albums coming out? Or are they both really supportive of each other?

In JPW, all questions are allowed. LOL But you gotta share!

Good idea J! It would be cool if Garth answered some questions other than the obvious ones.

I'd want to know if he & Trisha are planning on doing any media together, if it is the case that both their ablums are coming out so close together?

"Wanna go fishing?"

Whyy do you keep releasing the same old stuff over and over again? Why not a CD of totally new songs? You are such a fan of songwriters, why not give some of the newer ones in town a shot?

On a follow up to Pam's question, what is the average amount of songs per album released including studio albums and compilations.

What I'd like to know is" Are you happy, is the decision you made to kick back, the right decision or do you wish you'd have done things different? Followup question would be, "Would you do a Celine Dion/Barry Manilow type gig in Vegas or somewhere else?

Is it true that you have a whole new studio album out in 2008? and is it true that your going to do a limited run stadium tour in 2008 where tickets will only cost $5 dollars?

You've always said if I'm gonna do something, I have to give it 100%. It's an all or nothing thing! As fans we've learned to be patient and to be the best fans out there to speculate what's coming next. So are all these teasers part of your master plan to lead up to that 100%? I ask this with utmost respect as it does kinda sound harsh.;)

He once answered a question I posed in an online chat about whether he would ever do an album of cover songs that he used to sing in concert, and he said that it was something he and Allen Reynolds had talked about and it was a possibility. I would like to know if that might be something we can look forward to.

To go along with your question about a scriptwriter career, I would also like to ask him if The Lamb is still on the table.

Duet album duet album duet album! :)

That out of the way:

1. Does he have any plans to release extended full dvd versions of his concert specials and will the Coast to Coast specials be released.
2. Does he hope to do multiple duet albums with Trisha.
3. What about the plans for a duet Christmas album?

Thanks,
Ryan
