4 Shows Down... I can breathe again.

You got Garth questions?

We got Garth answers.

Just how limited is a limited edition?

Why isn't he playing a show on the 13th?

Who's going to be on stage with him? Who's not and why? Band members? Special guests?

Will there be more shows beyond KC? What about those Vegas rumors?

What are you NOT going to see on the DVD that everyone thinks they will?

Which version of the "In Another's Eyes" video will be on the DVD?

How did he come up with the sequencing of the album?

If he tours again - where MUST he go? And who won't he go without?

What made him more proud of his wife than anything she's ever done?

Halftime of the career - and the halftime show.
Songwriting. Awards. The Family. The Fans.
It's amazing the ground we can cover in 90 minutes....

This is the biggest tease of all-time?

Can you maybe give an
"Answer-a-Day"? It would be a very Garth-like thing to do.

I really, really, can't wait. :D

I am so excited!!!!!!

All of this Garth (and Trisha) hype is getting me thru these friggin' Les Miserable rehearsals... I think I would have quit a few weeks back without it.

WOOT WOOT!!!!

Glad you got home safely and Thanks for rockin', J!

Just great. Something else I'm missing out on because US Country was taken away. Don't have XM 10 either.

That's right -- can't go giving ALL this awesome content away for free.

At some point I'm going to have to blog about some of the other interviews he did that I listened in on. Good lord. I felt very sorry for him. But it just shone the spotlight on how much better XM is. ;-)

Belive me, anyone who signs up for the $7.99 a month XM Radio Online subscription is gonna get their money's worth.

I'll go sign up for one yet. Oh wait, I don't live in the US...

J, isn't this on Hwy 16? If so, not having US Country has nothing to do with it.

This is fantastic! Lordy, I don't have enough room on my XM To Go to tape this. :-(

Joyce, you (and XM) ROCK!

The 3 part series spans across 3 channels, 10, 16, 17.

With any luck someone in England will come up with equally awesomely cool programming.

One of the things I sat through today was Garth doing Canadian liners, LOL. I literally heard him "woof"

By the way... there was a LOT of negotiating to get these shows done due to Garth's worries over them being recorded and passed around. There are special rules that we are adhering to with these shows with his concerns in mind.

Posting on the internet things like "who's going to tape it" only fuels his concerns. I know that most of you have every album he's ever released 10 times over, and that what you're looking for is the interview content. But the music is a HUGE component of these shows, and that's where his concerns seem to lie.

So I'm just going to kindly ask once... that if you're recording these shows and passing them around the internet, that you don't advertise that in places where his people keep tabs on such things.

Believe me, I know it's done... and I know who's doing it. I've certainly heard about it with past Garth (and Trisha) shows we've aired. And I'm glad you enjoy the content enough to feel it's worth sharing.

These types of shows are granted to us by the artist and the record label... they certainly don't HAVE to give us the artist's time and the legal waivers to be able to play an album in its' entirety (and some don't - hence the creation of Release Day Rest Stops.) So if you enjoy them... help us obtain more of them by being discreet about your file sharing.

Plea over -- thanks for listening.

And really, I'm glad y'all are excited. I'm SO freakin excited about the content we got today, I can't hardly work on Show #5 for the week... which keeps it all in the family.

Ummm...you HAVE to work on Show #5!! :P

Cause really, she rocks just as much as he does. :)

Anonymous said...

wow, awesome!! I can't wait for the answers to those questions! :)

["One of the things I sat through today was Garth doing Canadian liners, LOL. I literally heard him "woof"]

I don't know what to think of that??;)

I'm gonna have to check out that free trial of XM(hope they still do that)....I'll probably be hooked after that.

Thanks J.

I have that other satelite radio company (hopefully soon to be your partner) - but I do have Directv. Will all of this air on it as well?

Producer J. said...

Yes to DirecTV, Yes to hopefully merger news soon, Yes to Mrs. Brooks being Show #5 (that still isn't done), yes to free online trials, and not that you asked, but the other guys are doing Garth programming as well (I'm pretty sure everyone on the planet is) although I think theirs is broken up into little vingettes instead of longform programming.

Although I just looked at their most recent playlist (http://www.sirius.com/newcountry) and they aren't playing More Than A Memory.

Garth is Top 10 for us.

Thank you for you words of wisdom on what you have to do, to get artists like Garth and Trisha on your station.

You have my word that from this point onwards that I will not engage in what you have stated, even though I have not previously.

The sad thing is that it does happen and only the fans suffer.

If we ever see a day when our fave artist distances away from doing any interview it will be a sad day.

Yes, it's about the music, but the music goes hand in hand with the interview.

Many dieing question are answered, while the shortage of time leaves fans wanting more.

This is where we look forward to such artists, coming back and maybe answering those questions still not answered.

Only with stations like yours can such dreams come true and we all owe you a big thanks for being a part of this big family.

:)
